The JET Program
So being that I am soon graduating I had to start looking for jobs. I wanted to try something new, so being that I like to travel and thought it would be fun to try living in another country for a year, yet still get paid well, I decided to apply to the jet program. (Here's what it is)=http://www.jetprogramme.org/e/outline/outline.html)
Being that I have never lived anywhere farther away from Phoenix than Flagstaff, Japan will definitely be a major change! Most of my friends who know I may be going think I'm nuts but seriously....I can't imagine sitting in Phx right after I graduate. I'll be getting paid 3.6 million yen (wish that was U.S. dollars) and get a lot of time to travel when I'm not teaching. It sounds like a good job for someone who doesn't like to work! So I guess I will have to see what they say. The interview went well (At least I thought so).
One of the ladies was my former history teacher at ASU and taught the only class I decided to get in trouble in. Me and Chris Bishop decided to yell Japanese sayings when she turned the lights out one day (it was a Japanese movie we were about to watch). So after he yelled "Kanagawa" and I yelled "Kamigami, you old crack head". She immediately flipped the lights on and caught "Mr. Grimes". But luckily as I mentioned she was an old crack head and I don't think she remembered me in the interview. So I guess I will just wait and see as they won't let me know if I get it or not until early April. IF not, no sweat off my sack....I'll be living by the beach in Cali. But if I do one of you guys better come and visit me!
